FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Despite their weekend series against Omaha being called off, the UND Men’s Hockey team is looking to play again soon.

Head Coach Brad Berry said in the school’s press conference this afternoon that the team is looking for options to play “in the short term.”

Berry said that officials with the National Collegiate Hockey Conference have been actively working to find the team a game soon, and that teams within the league are willing to find openings in the schedule, even if it doesn’t happen in a traditional weekend series.

“I think we have to be open-minded to fulfill the rest of the regular season schedule being open and flexible and whatever that looks like.” Berry said.

The next opponent scheduled for the Fighting Hawks is Denver on January 15th or 16th.
