UPDATE: 18-year-old hurt in 13th Ave. rollover
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - UPDATE: An 18-year-old from West Fargo was injured in a rollover accident on Thursday night.
Fargo Police responded to the crash in the 1400 block of 13th Avenue South just after 11 p.m.
Witnesses told officers that 18-year-old Noah J.R. Jamison was speeding down 13th Avenue when crossed over the westbound lanes to pass other vehicles. Several vehicles traveling in the opposite direction had to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting him. His car struck a snowbank and became airborne. The vehicle finally came to rest on its roof after hitting a tree.
Jamison had to be extracted from the car by Fargo firefighters. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and police say he wasn’t intoxicated. He reportedly admitted to speeding and driving distracted.
A report for reckless endangerment and distracted driving will be forwarded to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office.
