Police investigating shots fired in south Moorhead
No One Hit, No One Hurt
MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) UPDATE: A man is in jail after police say he fired a gun in a south Moorhead apartment. Police got reports of shots fired around 10 Wednesday night in the 900 block of 18th Street South.
They say no one was hit and no one was hurt, but they did arrest a man for reckless discharge of a firearm. Officers don’t believe the public was in danger because of this event -- everyone involved knew each other and it was not a random act.
24-year-old Dexter Fox of Moorhead is in the Clay County jail. Officers are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting.
ORIGINAL STORY: Moorhead Police are investigating a report of gunfire on the city’s south side Wednesday night.
Officers got the call around 10 p.m. to the 900 block of 18th Street South. Someone reported being threatened with a handgun.
Police confirm a shot was fired, but say no one was hit and no one was hurt. They’ve identified all parties involved and say there’s no threat to the public because of this incident.
