UPDATE: Police searching for person of interest in Fryn’ Pan arson

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fargo Police are asking for help from the public in identifying a person of interest connected to the arson case at the Fryn’ Pan on Monday, June 14.

If you recognize the person in the surveillance photo, you’re asked to contact the Police Investigations Division at 701-241-1405. You may also text a tip with keyword FARGOPD to 847411.

Fargo Fire officials say the call came in at 1:20 a.m. Monday at the Fryin’ Pan restaurant at 300 Main Avenue. There was a fire a dumpster, which spread to the roof of the building. Firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof to make sure flames hadn’t spread any further.

Damage is estimated at $5,000, but the restaurant is open and operating as usual.

Monday’s fire marks the sixth dumpster arson in less than a week. Fargo Police say, as of Thursday afternoon, it is unknown if this person is connected to the other arson cases.
