BEMIDJI, Minn. (Valley News Live) - The Bemidji Police Department says a woman reported missing earlier this week has been found safe.

23-year-old Stephanie Jo Chupp was reported missing by her roommates and co-workers on Tuesday, September 14. Police hadn’t been able to make contact with her and family members said they also had not heard from her.

On September 16, the Bemidji Police Department said Chupp was located in Lincoln County, Montana. Chupp told deputies she traveled alone and left Bemidji “under no duress.”

The Bemidji Police Department thanked the Lincoln County, MT Sheriff’s Office, the family of Stephanie Chupp, the Christian Aid Ministries MN Search and Rescue Team and the St. Louis Park, MN Police Department for their help in locating the woman.
