MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) - UPDATE (9/27): Preliminary results from an autopsy conducted Tuesday indicate 65-year-old Kevin Greybull died of stabbing and cutting injuries caused by a sharp implement.

The Mandan Police Department, along with the Morton County Sheriff’s Office and the ND Bureau of Criminal Investigation, are continuing the investigation into Greybull’s death.

UPDATE (9/24): Police identified the man found in Mandan as 65-year-old Kevin Greybull.

The Mandan Police Department is asking for the public’s help with retracing Greybull’s movements over the past few days. According to a spokesperson with the Mandan Police Department, they believe Greybull was homeless.

Mandan Police said they’re investigating Greybull’s death as a homicide.

He was last seen on Thursday, September 22 around 7:15 p.m. near the 700 block of 3rd St SE in Mandan. Greybull was wearing an orange Flyers shirt, khaki pants and grey shoes.

ORIGINAL STORY (9/23): Mandan Police and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation found a body near the Fort Lincoln Trolley.

According to a spokesperson with the Mandan Police Department, authorities were called to the 1900 block of 3rd St SE around 7 p.m. Friday.

Investigators were able to determine the body was a 65-year-old man. The death is being investigated as a homicide.

Police said it’s very early in the investigation process but believe there’s no danger to the public.
