Nathan joined Valley News Live in August 2019 as the 5:30, 6:30 and 9pm meteorologist.

Nathan graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a minor in Communication. At Valpo, Nathan served as a weather intern at KOAA in Colorado Springs/Pueblo, CO with Stephen Bowers and at WGN-TV in Chicago with Tom Skilling. He also accrued 15,000+ miles on the road while studying severe weather across the Central Plains through Valpo's convective field study curriculum.

Outside of the university classroom, Nathan was a Founding Father of the Indiana Iota chapter of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, and a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. He also sang in multiple choirs and played intramural athletics.

Nathan's first stop after graduating was at WBNG in Binghamton, N.Y., where he forecast the challenging weather of the northeast as the Weekend Meteorologist and Multi-Media Journalist before serving as the Weekend/Fill-In Meteorologist at WJAC in Johnstown, PA.

Nathan then explored the Deep South as Chief Meteorologist at WFXL in Albany, Georgia. While there, he experienced numerous severe weather events as well as devastating Hurricane Michael in October of 2018.

In his free time, Nathan enjoys watching and playing sports, sleeping, exploring the local beer and wine scene, and sipping on iced coffee while following the stock market.
