Investigation nets 5 arrests in Thief River Falls

Two men have been arrested following a couple of burglaries in and around Thief River Falls.

Twenty-five-year old Justin Hopper of Thief River Falls and 24-year old, Brian Torkelson, who has an unknown address, both face charges for allegedly stealing a safe from the McDonald's restaurant in Thief River. They also face charges for allegedly stealing vehicles and burglarizing a rural, Pennington County home.

During the investigation authorities also arrested 3 other people from Thief River on unrelated charges.

Thirty-five year-old Shane Drury and 33-year old Haley Haugen, both face Possession of Meth charges.

Twenty-seven-year old Ryan Benoit was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
